Overview
The University of Ghana School of Public Health was established in 1994. Its primary objectives are to respond to the professional manpower needs of the Ministry of Health
and to address the numerous existing and emerging healthcare challenges facing the country, through the conduct of research and the training of a wide range of skills in various public health disciplines.
The school has five departments:
The school’s 35 teaching staff is headed by a director and deputy director, with heads of each of the departments serving under them.
