AFENET is a non profit organisation under the governance of a Board of Directors, an Advisory Committee, and a Secretariat
The advisory Committee servers AFENET in an advisory capacity, as needed. there are currently 3 members on the committee
The Board of Directors is composed of a Chair and one representative of each of the founding and ordinary members. There are currently eight members on the Board.
The Advisory Committee serves AFENET in an advisory capacity, as needed. There are currently four members on the Committee.
The Secretariat is the principal office of AFENET, tasked with managing the day-to-day activities of the organization, under the supervision of the Board. It is composed of an Executive Director and other officers. The Secretariat staff is located in Kampala, Uganda. There are currently six staff members on the Secretariat.
The Financial Management of AFENET(accounting and auditing) is handled by independent private firms.
The Constitution specifies the rules and regulations governing AFENET.
